Freddie Lewis Archer
Freddie Lewis Archer has twenty-five years experience in commercial real estate brokerage and development. Ten years ago, Freddie left Madison Retail Group, a boutique brokerage company in the District, to become an Independent Broker and establish her own firm, Lewis Real Estate Services.
Recent clients of the firm include the Washington Convention Center Authority, DRI/AEDC Joint Venture, Lowe Enterprises, Motiva Enterprises, the National Capital Revitalization Corporation, City First Bank (purchase of bank headquarters building), O Street Market, LLC and the William Smith Company in the leasing of 40,000 square feet of shops and restaurants at the Giant anchored shopping center Shops at Park Village.
While at Madison Retail Group and during her tenure at Smithy Braedon, Freddie focused her efforts on retail and small office leasing with particular emphasis on landlord representation. Included among her clients were developers and institutional owners such as Petrie, Dierman, Kughn, National Government Properties, Kfoury Construction Corp and TriZec Hahn.
Freddie is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers where she recently served as Government Relations Committee Chairman for the District of Columbia; AAREP (African American Real Estate Professionals); DCBI, District of Columbia Building Industry Association Board of Directors, Past Co-Chairman of the Retail Business Development Committee and East of the River Committee; and is a past Board member of CREW Suburban Maryland A graduate of Howard University with a BA in Political Science, Freddie studied Urban Planning at New York University’s Graduate School of Public Administration.
J. Martin Lastner
With more than twenty-five years in the real estate development and management business, Marty Lastner has been nationally recognized as a keen negotiating partner, problem solver, decision maker and community collaborator. Lastner has managed some of the country's most acclaimed commercial real estate projects. As Vice President of Operating Properties at Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse, he directed the property management, asset management, property operations accounting divisions of the company.
He managed the entire portfolio of the company's three million square feet of retail, restaurant, and commercial office space throughout the east coast and 1,800 units in 15 residential properties. Lastner's retail strength and property management experience was showcased at Harbor East in Baltimore, Maryland with more than 1.8 million square feet of mixed-use space under his guidance. Lastner was acknowledged by the International Council of Shopping Centers during his tenure at The Rouse Company for developing and directing a rejuvenating renovation plan for Baltimore's Harborplace and The Gallery adding reputation retailers and category leading restaurants, increasing the mixed-use project's sales from $450 per square foot to more than $700 per square foot with nearly 15 million people visiting the waterfront development each year.
David Ober
David Ober, general partner of Rockvale Outlets Lancaster (PA), Belz Outlets Pigeon Forge (TN), and Vice President of the Outlets at Hershey (PA), holds more than twenty years of outlet industry experience in leasing, marketing, acquisitions, development, construction, and property sales. He is also president of the DOC&R, the International Trade Organization of the Outlet Industry.
Mr. Ober is also the principal of Global Outlet Management, a national and international retail and development consulting company.
In addition to his real estate, retail and shopping center expertise, Ober is the founder and President of Share the Blessing, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization. Ober has been a guest lecturer, speaker, and moderator at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) conventions across the United States and most recently at the Seminario de Shopping Centers en Argentina, Buenos Aires, Argentina. A board member of the Pennsylvania Retailers Association, Ober also has a monthly column in Value Retail News (VRN).
Mr. Ober is a graduate of Wheaton College and is currently a candidate for his doctorate at Eastern University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ober and his wife Boni are the parents of two daughters, Cecily and Lauren and reside in Elizabethtown, PA.
Robert E. Rubenkonig
Bob Rubenkonig is a skilled communications professional with more than 25 years experience and demonstrated fiscal responsibility in developing progressive brand communication strategies and retail marketing plans, overseeing public relations efforts and building community constituencies to achieve significant revenue goals.
Rubenkonig recently served as the Vice President and Director of Marketing and Communications at Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse where he directed the cohesive communications platform and national marketing and public relations programs that built visibility and recognition for the company’s business segments and all of its projects in development or operation. Prior to joining Struever Bros., he was Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications for The Rouse Company, one of the nation’s premier real estate development companies. While at The Rouse Company, he directed the Company’s international public relations effort and created its national brand strategy.
Rubenkonig is credentialed as a Senior Credited Marketing Director by the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has won several Retail Marketing Association awards and many International MAXI awards for communication and marketing excellence. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and Certificate of public administration from the University of Maryland.
